Final Fantasy X

 

This Final Fantasy is a bit different, you don't have a world map but a linear path through random paths and places, and just one big goal that you know from the beginning of the game more or less. So, you don't have that many options in exploring. Don't know why there is no classical world map, but complaining won't help, seems they got lazy or wanted to show of graphics in this way. The battle system makes you fight more tactical, which is cool. The leveling system is useless, they could make the cap on lvl 255 instead of 99, would end up in the same effort, it's not complicated or anything, that sphereboard, just anoying to go on it for every +1 for a stat or or some 100 hp more agan.

Story/Plot:

This game is a movie. Visual and by gameplay, you don't have many options to make it more individuall, you just listen to the endless conversation, walk the straight path and listen to conversations again. The story is easy told. Tidus gets swallowed by SIN into the world of the game, where he meets Yuna the summoner. She is on her journey to Zanarkand, Tidus former hometown, which is destroyed since 1000 years in the world you got put by SIN. Because Tidus won't believe it he becomes one of Yuna's guardians and travles to Zanarkand with her. There he learns about his existence and in the end they learn what SIN is and they fight it. In the end, Tidus learns that he was just a dream and never existed, so he dissapears.

Graphics:

It's one of the first ps2 games, still many ps2 games don't come close to this graphics, except the other ps2 ff parts. Nothing more to say in this point, graphics are great, cutscenes look very real.

Sound:

I like the battle theme, it didn't get boring for me even after 150 hours of playtime. The tracks are always perfect for the situation. The voices are cool, I like Tidus voice, it's a good choice. Good voice acting, shitty german translation ( maynly because they translated the japanese text but took the english dubs, of course the words don't fit always. It was funny when Yuna said Goodbye in english, but the sub sayd I love you)
