Final Fantasy 8

 

This part is cool. It's different from the level and money making system, well, magic system too. But that doesn't make it a bad game, it makes it a unique game that is fun to play often again and again. It's also cool that when you level up, the enemys get stronger too and have new spells that you can draw from them.

Story/Plot:

The story is a typical love story, and kinda strange. You are a mercenary group, called SeeD. You have to kill a witch that became a ruler of a country. Then your girlfriend turns into the next witch and you find out a witch from the future is behind all this. So you make it to the future and kick her ass. Sounds strange, and it is a bit weird. But it's a nice and deep lovestory and a romantic story with big rivalrys. The fact that all of your chars except the witch are all orphans from the same house is kinda lame though.

Graphics:

The very last from the ps1 was used for this, and it did a good job. The sprites of the characters look good in the map, even better in the fight. The map lacks love in details though.

Sound:

It's a good soundtrack. It's a bit electric, different than most rpgs have it. But it's a great soundtrack, especially the battle theme from Lagunas troup.
